This is my journey

I have been working in the health and beauty space for 18 years…

In that time, I have gained a wealth of knowledge by working with a vast number of clients with different skin, brow, and health concerns. I am originally from Ireland and started my journey in clinical beauty, mainly offering peels and ablative facial treatments. At the time, I always felt there had to be a reason for a client's skin to be presenting with a skin condition, and felt there had to be a more gentle, restorative way to create balance to the skin.

Emigrating from Ireland to Sydney, I started working in the health & wellbeing industry. I worked alongside Nutritionists & Naturopaths and quickly learnt that our skin is a reflection to what is happening on the inside. During that time, I retrained in Holistic healing facials. I was trained by a Reiki Master and learnt how to incorporate the healing method of reiki into my facial treatments.

I also specialized in brow services…

It was requested by one of my clients to train in microblading, So, I did what I was asked, and this led me to open The Feathered Brow (now Ailm Health & Beauty).

Whilst I adore the art of creating and defining perfect brows, I always had an itch to get back to the health industry and uncover some of the symptoms my clients were presenting with when coming in for their routine facials. I decided to go back to the books and qualified with an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Nutrition.

My studies consisted of a combination of traditional healing practices & evidence-based practices, with subjects ranging from pharmacology & body chemistry to food as medicine & nutritional therapeutics.

Becoming a mother was another leap on my natural health journey. Whilst I believe in the importance of conventional medicine, I was concerned of the side effects whenever my daughter became ill. During her development my qualifications, further post grad courses and numerous books on natural healing for children gave me the confidence to guide her back to full health during times of illness and low immunity.

My personal health journey through complicated gut issues and difficult fertility challenges has thought me compassion and empathy when dealing with client's health concerns and to become a detective when it comes to getting to the source of a client's ailments or skin concerns.

My aim in creating Ailm is to empower woman to come back to their true self, by educating them on ways to take their health into their own hands and feel well. I also believe in today's world human touch and connection is more important than ever. Ailm provides relaxing holistic healing facials, for a place to come to unburden from the pressures of the modern routine. Ailm is a place where the art of reiki facials & beautiful brows meets the wisdom of traditional wholefoods & healing.
